Having been inspired by the delicious Thanksgiving feast of this past week, I wanted to share with you the menu from our wedding. Because there are so many option on the menu, Waterford customers can create a menu that is completely their own. This was one of the planning areas where my husband had the most input. He really handled the band (ENCORE from Watshington Talent Agency) and the food.
We offered a chicken dish, a meat dish and a vegetarian option. Offering a variety of entrees allowed for all of our guests to select exactly what they wanted.
At our tasting we had an opportunity to taste all three dishes and to get the chef’s input on which sides would complement each. It was great to have this one-on-one attention from the person who would be overseeing our reception.
We wanted the meal to have a classy, sophisticated feel, so we added a lemon sorbet intermezzo. We also had the meal plated and served, but buffet was also an option. Instead of a wedding cake, we topped the meal off with cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake. They were delicious!
We got so many compliments on the meal! I was overjoyed with how the meal (and the entire evening) turned out.
